MND holds Induction/ Award Presentation Ceremony:

The Miss Niger Delta Peace Cultural Pageant which started in 1999 is a platform that projects the image of the Niger Delta people positively, and also promotes the rich cultural heritage of the region in culture, fashion, indigenous music, dance, traditional hospitality, as well as the beauty and the inviting tourism sites in the region. The pageant is organised with respect for the dignity of womanhood and our cultural values, hence the dress code of the contestants and the emerging queens which forbids indecency.

The 18th edition was held on Sunday, 9th of June 2019 at Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt. The event was a huge success that witnessed the emergence and crowning of the winners, Miss Niger Delta Queens and proud daughters of the Niger Delta region who are poised to represent the region as young ambassadors of peace and development.

The Induction ceremony of the Miss Niger Delta Organisation is the formal introduction for all the Queens of the Organisation. In line with the tradition of the Miss Niger Delta Peace Cultural Pageant, the winners were presented with certificates of recognition and confirmation during the induction ceremony which held on the 28th of September 2019, at Beverly Hills Hotels & Resort, 130 Woji Road, GRA, Port Harcourt. The intent of the induction was to avail the Miss Niger Delta Queens unrestricted access into the Organisation’s various activities as well as provide them with tools to enable them perform their statutory responsibilities as queens and positive role models effectively.

It was also an opportunity to appreciate the efforts of some individuals and organisations that have made positive impacts on the people and the region. The MND Organisation officially appreciated the Niger Delta Development Commission as an institution and responsible agency of Government for the sustainable support and unprecedented development in the Niger Delta.
